About the Speaker
David Erickson, PhD, is senior vice president and head of Outreach and Education at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His areas of research include community development finance, affordable housing, economic development, and institutional changes that benefit low-income communities.
Erickson has been a leader in the collaboration between the Federal Reserve and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in bringing the health sector together with community development. This collaboration has resulted in numerous conferences and publications, including a cluster of articles in Health Affairs, co-editing four books, and writing two books, The Housing Policy Revolution: Networks and Neighborhoods (2009) and The Fifth Freedom: Guaranteeing an Opportunity-Rich Childhood for All (2023).
